All right... hey it's been a minute since my last post, so as promised, I'm going to update y'all on the status of my annual mid-winter house party,
The Old Skool Jamzfest: 2009. A small gathering of friends, co-workers, neighbors and family chillin at my place as I do my thang...
I have chosen Saturday Feb. 28, 2009 as my date to hold this annual get together at my tiny place out here in east central WI, or the 920/274, as we call it out here. I'll be starting about 6PM Central time and the program will run to approx. 2 or 3 AM. Yes, there will be libations such as Grey Goose (kudos to my girl mzfr3zh from FSF), Mickey's Malt Liquor, XS Energy Drinks and Jagermeister, just to name a few. Yep, the sauce will be flowin, as will the jams!
Yours truly, Mixmaster J will be on the Wheels of Steel spinning all the best old skool Funk, Soul, House, Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, Disco, Reggae and Dance music from the late 70's up through the 90's, along with my man Mista C-Smoov and Big D...all in the house and beamed out to my 'hood on Serious Jams 88.3 FM. I will also be recording my entire program and uploading portions of it to a yet to be determined music sharing site for podcast/download. In the next year or so, I hope to actually start doing a live webcast as well as broadcast on my (ahem) "modified" FM transmitter. More to come on that at a later date.
Folks, it don't get any better than this. These are Primo choice cuts of the best old skool Funk and Soul music I have, and then some. You won't find a better mix of jams north of Milwaukee and Chicago. You won't even find a beter mix on XM/Sirius or even online. So there!
I will also be sending shout outs for all my fellow FSF'ers and other online peeps, as well as friends and family who may not be able to make it out to my place for this event.
So there you have it. Saturday evening, Feb. 28, 2009. Be there if you can. You're all invited lol!!
